Hope for Bernadette Vitug: A Community Helping Her Heal

Raising support for Bernadette's urgent hospital and medical bills.

For the past years, Bernadette Vitug has been quietly fighting for her life with extraordinary courage. After receiving a kidney transplant, she has had to take daily immunosuppressant medication to prevent rejection of the new organ.
These medications protect her kidney but weaken her immune system, making every infection a serious risk.
Over time, these medications led to complications with insulin and diabetes. Then another devastating challenge arrived: she was diagnosed with colon cancer and required chemotherapy, an extremely difficult treatment for someone whose immune system is already compromised. She had been fighting and avoiding excessive interactions, fearing some infection could make things much more difficult. Then, three weeks ago, her situation became even more delicate when she developed severe pneumonia caused by an infection. Because of her fragile immune system, doctors placed her in strict medical isolation. Today, she remains confined to the ICU in the National Kidney and Transplant Institute, and her family can only see her through a window for ten minutes, four times a day.She lost her appetite. She lost weight. But she never lost her hope. As she keeps fighting, we fight to keep her morale as high as possible. Because she wants to live!A few months ago, she sold her properties to pay the bills from the hospital and medications. Now, we are raising funds to help cover the medical treatments, medication, hospital care, and recovery support she urgently needs.Every contribution helps Bernadette continue fighting this battle with dignity and hope. Help her to overcome this complex situation. Give her a ray of hope.

Never Losing Hope

Bernadette has been in and out of the hospital since her cancer diagnosis and colon operation in June 2025. Each hospitalization has brought significant medical expenses, with bills continuing to pile up one after another. Despite the many challenges she has faced, she continues to show incredible strength and resilience through every treatment and recovery period.
